1. Membership Eligibility & Activation
All OPHDA services are provided exclusively to paid members with a valid and active Direct Debit (DD).
Membership benefits and support services are only accessible while a Direct Debit remains active. If a Direct Debit fails, is cancelled, or becomes inactive, membership support will be suspended.
 
2. Grace Period for New Members
New members are subject to a 6 weeks grace period from the date of joining.
During this period:
• Members may access general guidance and updates.
• Full representation and case support will only apply to matters that arise after the grace period has ended.
Any issue, case, or matter that occurred before joining or during the grace period will not be covered under standard membership.
 
3. Immediate Assistance (Pre-Membership or Grace Period Cases)
Where a member requires assistance for:
• Matters that arose prior to joining, or
• Issues occurring within the 6 weeks grace period
The following charges will apply:
Immediate Assistance Charges
1. £50 – Basic Support
o Verbal advice
o Email enquiries to authorities
o Telephone support
2. £100 – New Driver Application (Office Support Only)
o In-person support at OPHDA office
3. £150 – New Driver Application (Extended Support)
o Telephone support
o In-person support outside normal hours
4. Panel Hearings / Court Hearings / Motoring Offence
o Each case will be individually assessed.
o Charges, if applicable, will be explained before assistance is provided.
o OPHDA reserves the right to decline assistance where appropriate.
All fees must be paid in advance before support is provided.
1. Failed payment charges will be paid at 10% of membership fee to cover admission charges 
 4. Suspension & Cancellation
Failure to maintain an active Direct Debit may result in:
• Immediate suspension of membership
• Withdrawal of support services
• Chargeable services for any assistance requested while inactive
OPHDA reserves the right to manually cancel membership where payment terms are not complied with.
 5. Proper Use of Services
Membership is intended for genuine support and representation purposes. Misuse of services, repeated unreasonable demands, or provision of false information may result in suspension or termination of membership.
 
6. Agreement
By signing up for OPHDA membership, members confirm that:
• They have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
• They agree to maintain an active Direct Debit.
• They accept the grace period and charge structure outlined above.
